Lunch with Brendon Plack – Chief of Staff for the Senate Republican Conference Chair, John Thune (R-SD)

After the recent midterm election the question on most of our minds is what does it all mean for the Lame Duck and for the upcoming 116th Congress?  Our next Forum luncheon guest on Monday, December 3rd should be able to at least partially answer that question for us.  He is Brendon Plack, the long-time Chief of Staff for the new number two Republican in the Senate, the new Majority Whip, Senator John Thune of South Dakota.

Brendon first went to work for Sen. Thune in 2002 in his first Senate campaign and joined his staff in Washington three years later.   Over the last 13 years he has served Sen. Thune as a legislative assistant, policy analyst, policy director, legislative director and Chief of Staff for the Senate Republican Conference.  When the 116th Congress convenes, he will become the Chief of Staff for the Majority Whip.  Brendon has visited with us before and his insights into the Senate agenda and dynamics were invaluable.
